5 years ago God put a passion for music in my heart.
5 years ago I helped create a band with four of my close friends.
5 years ago I began a chapter of my life that forever changed who I am.
2 months ago God put and end to that chapter
2 months ago God put a new passion in my heart.
2 months ago my world was rocked as I was forced to leave all that I’ve known for the past 5 years and start over.
Tonight was the first home show Confide has played since I left the band 2 months ago. I was supposed to go to that show tonight. It was a toss up between the show and weather or not I should go to my brand new life group over in Long Beach. I prayed on it and felt God calling me to move on with my life. Long Beach it was!
I’ve only known that group of friends for a few weeks now and I can honestly say I love each one of them to death. We sat around the girls living room and told stories of God’s work in our lives over the past week. We prayed for our friends injury and he was healed on the spot. We went to Long Beach’s House of Prayer. I felt God use me to reveal my friend Sara’s callings. We prayed over Sara as a group and from this night forward her life will forever be changed.
As we headed home God showed me that 2 months ago my life was in shambles as I had no idea what to do with myself outside of Confide. And here I am in Long Beach instead of the show I was ment to go to because God had other plans. And it clicked.
2 months ago I never would have imagined I’d be in Long Beach serving God in this way.
2 months ago I never would of dreamed about not playing a home show with Confide.
2 months ago God started a new chapter in my life that really began 5 years ago.
5 years ago I was called to the band to learn about myself and others.
5 years ago I was called to the band to help equip me with a heart for people.
5 years ago God knew I’d be sitting in Long Beach tonight.
And had I not gone through all I’ve been through I wouldn’t have been able to say the things I said to my friend Sara. Sara will go on to do things no one else could do because Sara is a very unique. The calling God has on her life and the passions he has designed inside of her will Shake.The.Grounds
